MARE LIVERY & FOALING DOWN SERVICE
Masons Stud will take in a limited number of mares to foal down with us. We offer 5 star care for your pregnant mare during such an important time. We also offer full boarding livery whilst your mare is at Stud for Covering. Please see Stud forms. Mare Foaling livery includes;
We recommend that the mares arrive at stud approximately 4-6 weeks before their due date. We would also recommend that mare and foal are at the stud at least 2 weeks after birth before travelling home.
It is highly recommended that mares are vaccinated for flu/tet but tetanus as a minimum is required. All pregnant mares need to have been vaccinated for EHV at 5,7 & 9 months. If the mare is to be covered at Masons Stud post foaling they will need clean tests for CEM, EVA, EIA in the month before covering whether by AI or natural cover.
Vet fees will be charged directly to the mare owners. We reserve the right to stable all visitors in inclement weather & livery fees will be changed accordingly.
